The artists

Iranian visa, 2001
Jean-Luc MEYER-ABBATUCCI has been traveling the world for more that thirty years: a journey that is an integral part of his work and life.
His stay in Africa, Asia and the Middle East direct his work: paintings, photographs, installations are some of the supports which investigate the notions of arbitrary borders, territories, conflicts, nationalism and identity.
In 2005, in association with his assistant Hugo HEBREARD, he created the collective Ouroboros Team, aimed at the study and realization of artistic projects in the form of installations, which raise questions about the environment and recycling and to give the future back to our planet.
In 2006, Ouroboros Team realized installations in Egypt, Jordan and Israel.
Between 2006 and 2008, the collective stayed in India and in Nepal where they submitted proposals of several projects, which have not succeed until today because of the difficulties in obtaining the governmental authorizations.
After a short stay in the Paris workshop, Ouroboros Team is presently in Costa Rica, where they prepare a water purification project and waste-recycling program associated with local organizations.
