In 2007, Ouroboros Team organized an event to clean the beaches of Gokarna in Karnataka.

They proposed to pick up plastic bottles dumped on the beaches and to make a sculpture with them.
In the end, the sculpture was not made, but the event prompted a local industry to collect and recycle plastic bottles in the area. Today, 800 000 plastic bottles per month are now recycled in accordance with a recycling plant Bangalore.

The intervention of Ouroboros Team has raised awareness of the need for collection and recycling.

ESA has made satellite shots of the region.

Ouroboros Team is waiting for the permits to carry out a satellite photo of a sculpture depicting a serpent biting its own tail (Ouroboros).
